Bella Coola Valley Tourism's mission statement is: Working together to promote tourism development in the Bella Coola Valley by marketing, organizing tourist information services, lobbying government on behalf of tourism stakeholders and encouraging local business to succeed and grow.

• Keeping you informed:
o Through regular meetings
o At our Annual General Meeting where we give comprehensive reports on the previous years' projects, and provide an opportunity for you to voice your concerns, talk with other tourism operators and discuss your ideas

• Bringing you marketing opportunities many small businesses could not undertake on their own:
o Through joint marketing programs with Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association (CCCTA), West Chilcotin Tourism Association & Soar Magazine.
o Through your own webpage, for members only, on bellacoola.ca
o By exposure at travel shows and in tourism publications such as the popular Bella Coola Valley Visitor Guide and the CCCTA Travel Guide.

• Working on your behalf:
o BCVT's Executive meet with and lobby with various levels of government on issues and concerns such as trails and recreation sites, access roads, ferries, bears, etc.
o Knowledgeable Visitor Information Booth Reps. informing visitors and potential visitors on what services and events are available.
o Once a week during the peak season there is a BCVT representative on the Queen of Chilliwack providing information on services and events in the Bella Coola Valley as well as Shearwater, Bella Bella, and Port Hardy.

• Representation at the annual BC Tourism Industry Conference and other tourism related functions, gathering information and bringing you the latest in market and government trends.

In order to keep up with increased administration costs and less funding we are increasing the annual membership fee by $25 to $125.  That's $75 for the annual membership, which gets you all of the above work, and an additional $50 for a webpage on the ever popular http://www.bellacoola.ca.
