Map

Description:
Imagine a million hectares of rugged mountains, sparkling rivers and pristine wilderness in the heart of British Columbia. A place where eagles soar over ancient forests and grizzly bears fish in rivers alive with salmon. This is the land that generously provided for the original natives and drew European pioneers over a hundred years ago. The lodge is ideally located as a comfortable base for hikes into the Rainbow Mountains, along the Alexander Mackenzie Trail, as well as to Lonesome Lake, Hunlen Falls and Turner Lake. Guided environmentally sensitive ecotours, river drifting, glacier flight seeing, ocean fishing and outings, horseback riding, float plane, helicopter or canoe trips can be arranged through the lodge. Registered guides are available. For photographers, bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts the lodge property and surrounding wilderness are a dream come true. Depending on the season you will see grizzly and black bears, mountain goats, deer, moose, caribou, eagles, trumpeter swans and a wide variety of plants and wild flowers. There are also fascinating archaeological sites and remains of pioneer homesteads to explore.
