MV Pacific Grizzly/Nautical Adventures

Built in 1936 by Boeing Aircraft of Canada the Classic M.V. Pacific Grizzly is moored at the Government Wharf in Bella Coola Harbour.

The Pacific Grizzly now serves as a Bed and Breakfast/Cafe and Marine Basecamp for our Nautical Adventures.

The M.V. Pacific Grizzly remains moored at the Government Dock as accommodations for easy arrival and departure of our Guests.

The 40 foot MV "Nekhani" is our 660 Horsepower Ocean Going Jet Boat. Marine Tours departs daily on board MV "Nekhani" from the Government Wharf in the early morning.

Leonard Ellis is your Skipper/Guide with over 30 years of Guiding experience and Skippering vessels on the Central Coast of British Columbia.

The MV Nekhani can comfortably accommodate up to 12 Guests per Daily Tour and 6 Guests on an Overnight Tour.

Nekhani is Fully equipped with a Marine Head, Shower, Barbeque, Crab/Prawn Cooker, Safety equipment and Communications.

MV Nekhani is also equipped with a Wildlife Viewing/Photography Tower.The elevated Viewing Platform works  very well for Spotting Wildlife on the Estuaries and in the Glacial Fjords.

We are very conveniently located at the Bella Coola Harbour/Government Wharf right beside the BC Ferry Terminal.

The Port of Bella Coola is well located and a convenient departure point for Saltwater and Freshwater Sportfishing and Wildlife Viewing in the Wilderness of the Great Bear Rainforest.

Just a short two minute walk from the BC Ferry Terminal to the MV Pacific Grizzly Bed and Breakfast.
Our Marine Tours depart from the MV "Pacific Grizzly" at the Government Wharf on a daily basis and we can take you to any destination on the Central Coast on board the MV "Nekhani".

The MV Pacific Grizzly is conveniently located moored to the Government Wharf beside the BC Ferry Terminal at the Bella Coola Harbour.

Just a 2 minute walk from the BC Ferries Terminal to the Government Wharf and MV "Pacific Grizzly"  Waterfront Accommodations.

The Pacific Grizzly is quite visible from the Ferry when it is docked in Bella Coola.

The MV Pacific Grizzly is moored at the Government Wharf on the Waterfront in the Bella Coola Harbour at the West end of Highway 20.

The pavement ends here at the Government Wharf and your Nautical Adventure in the Beautiful Glacial Fjords begins.

The MV Pacific Grizzly Accommodations and Facilities are available from April through to November.

Charters for the MV Nekhani are available throughout the Central Coast year round weather permitting.

Moored on the Waterfront in Bella Coola Harbour.

Reservations are  always recommended.

Seafood is always a big part of our Tours and we haul the Prawn and Crab Traps daily so you can enjoy a Fresh Seafood Feast for Dinner.

M.V. Nekhani is constructed of Welded Aluminum and has proven to be a very efficient, seaworthy vessel. She is built specifically for guiding operations and keeping guests very comfortable on the Central Coast.

Destinations available include Bella Bella, Klemtu, Namu,Rivers Inlet, Fjordland, Dean River, Kwatna.

Powered by Twin 330 Horsepower Volvo Penta Diesels and Hamilton Jets.

We offer Marine Tours on Board the 40 foot Jet Boat MV "Nekhani" throughout the Central Coast in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

Accommodating up to 12 Guests on Day Charters for Nautical Adventures to view Marine life Whales, Dolphins, Sea Lions Seals and Otters.

Wildlife Viewing in the Estuaries for Grizzly Bears, Black Bears, Mountain Goats, Wolves and Eagles.

Tours to Mackenzies Rock, Hot Springs, Jump Across Creek Petroglyphs, Kwatna, South Bentinck or any destination of your choice.

Saltwater Sportfishing for Salmon, Halibut and Cod.  

We provide Breakfast and Lunch.

Dinners by Reservation.

Fresh Seafood is our specialty!!

Our Guests are provided a Saltwater Fishing license which entitles them to Fish for Saltwater species.

At the end of the Day we help the Guests Cook their catch and they enjoy a Seafood Feast of Jumbo Spot Prawns and Crabs.

The MV Nekhani is equipped with a large cabin and on board Woodstove to keep the guests dry and warm and out of the Weather.MV Nekhani is designed to keep Guests comfortable in Central Coast Weather.

Please remember to bring a warm jacket in case of chilly weather when out on deck.

Running shoes or hiking boots are fine for deck shoes.

Minimums are required to generate a Tour. Vessel may be chartered.
