Bella Coola Visitor Services

When in the Bella Coola Valley, talk to the locals and they will point you in the direction for whatever you need. The Visitor Information Booth is located in Tweedsmuir Travel in the town of Bella Coola at 628 Cliff St.

Both Bella Coola and Hagensborg have essential services including retail outlets for groceries and hardware, gas stations and repair shops, Canada Post offices, gift shops, and places to purchase fishing licenses. Banking can be done at the Williams Lake & District Credit Union in Bella Coola; ATMs are located at the Hagensborg Shop Easy, Thunderbird Store, and the Bella Coola General Hospital. Kopas Store and Tallheo Gas Bar provide cash with debit cards. For information on car rentals check at the Visitor Information Booth as there is no car rental agency in the Valley, however some accommodation providers rent cars.

Contact the Bella Coola Harbour Authority regarding boating regulations and assistance. The Bella Coola General Hospital has a walk-in clinic and there is a pharmacy in Bella Coola. There is no veterinary service in the Valley.  Organic foods can also be found in the Valley.
The Bella Coola townsite is located near the mouth of the Bella Coola River and immediately upstream from the estuarine ecosystem and the ocean inlet known as North Bentinck Arm
